G.Skill is offering a full range of P55 compatible memory kits, with the ECO being one of them. As the name implies, the memory aims to deliver the most performance while only requiring a mere 1.35V to run at 1600 MHz CL7-8-7.

I have this kit in my AM3 system and I cannot for the love of god get it to run at correct timings, the best I can do is 8,8,8,24 1T @ 1600mhz, I belive this is a chipset/mb problem though, there seems to be problems with memory dividers on am3 mb's & 1600mhz is a touchy spot for low CAS memory.

Still a great little kit.

Amd systems can not run a cas 7 at the speed of 1600mhz you can go to 1333 with cas 7 but not 1600

Thats not entirely true, if you set your fsb to 250 and then run your mem at 1333mhz the ram will run at 1600mhz. The problem is with the memory dividers rather that the ram itself. when setting your ram to 1600 with a stock fsb of 200 the divider is different to 250fsb & 1333 ram.

My ram runs fine at 250fsb 1600mhz cas 7, but I have no need to oc so I don't bother.
