Arctic Cooling known for their innovative cooling solutions recently launched a new line of in-ears. In this review we will be taking a closer look at their top-of-the-line in-ear dubbed E361-BM. Fitted with a microphone and remote these earphones also double as a headset, both for PC and phone.

I thought the picture was wrong on the review section, but turns out Arctic Cooling is expanding its lineup.

I only skimmed the review. These should be priced at $30 for what they are. People with odd shaped ear canals, and people like me with sensitive ears can't wear those plug phones without really soft tips.

Would you agree Federik S that the other websites that are reviewing this set of earphones are not putting out proper reviews? Rather, reviews by one who isn't a dedicated audiophile who buys the cutting edge of audio hardware?

EDIT: They sound like the cheapo skull candy earphones that have nothing but dull bass.

tkpenalty: I think that the issue with most of the reviews is the attention to detail or lack thereof. Audio reviews are quite hard to make because the qualities are unquantifiable so you need to be experienced with gear of that type in order to provide useful information about it.

i don't understand at all the tech power up reviews at times. expensive, hardly the best around, sound awful via a PC and have design flaws....and this gets them a respectable 7.8?????
It just doesn't make any sense at all.

The design has a lot of things going for it, but in order to be really great it would have to do a few things a bit better. Hence the grade not particularly great but not all that bad.

Compared to the nearest Sennheiser?

From the performance section you can read that they are slightly less detailed and perhaps more bassy than the CX300s from Sennheiser which cost slightly more plus they do not have microphone nor remote capabilities. In my ears the E361s seem more comfortable plus they are designed for use with the cable being run over your ears removing some unwanted microphonic noise.

Well I already have CX300 II and they were only £14. I don't have the cable noise since I usually run the wire from my inner breast pocket. Not sure I would want more bass with in earphones. Means you have to turn the volume down to avoid wrecking your ears. :p
