Evercool sent us a cute little heatsink to toy around with. But as we unpacked it, the low-profile HPK-1002EA heatsink looked bigger than we imagined. We strapped it on to our LGA1366 test-bed right away. Do small-sized "LGA1366 compatible" heatsinks cut it?

Well at least its only $20 but I would much rather spend $10 more and get a better cooler.

Sounds like a winner for low-profile HTPC's with relatively hot processors.

One should only consider this if u get an OEM proc, cause if not complete wastage of money

This is not win at all. If you want win for HTPC go for Scythe or Nexus

i think the results can be better as in my opinion the thermal grease shall be not applied in one spot due the crevices of the cooler base;is better to make a thin layer on cpu surface and than install the cooler

have you made test also with a thin layer bta?
