I am reading about these Liva boxes for 4 months. Is anything new in this PR, or is it just the Bing Windows version the reason for it?
Anyway waiting for the AMD version, hoping Intel will let them
1) make it
2) market it
3) put a reasonable price on it

I read "Windows 8.1 with Bing" and think of...

Because it would probably double the cost.
could be but, really ECS should think about the case, at least not like a flat box
especially when they point
LIVA is expressing the passion and the pursuit of aesthetics..

why is that? :) examples?

Really big design inconsistency, for example take a look at Control Panel and PC Settings. Not to mention that one of them should be completely removed since we don't need two control panels. All new "apps" on desktop also look like an aliens. Same with icons - half of them are taken from Vista/Win7 and the other half are completely new.

And don't get me wrong, I'm not one of new technology haters and most likely I'll buy it (especially if they will implement new online license key management) once it comes out. There are some nice things about it, as improved Task and File Managers, faster boot times, pretty nice and flexible Start Menu and so on. But they definitely need to work on UI much harder.
