The combination of an affordable NAS like the Synology DS416j, a couple good IP cameras, and a pair of reliable HDDs can make for a nice surveillance system with enhanced surveillance capabilities. Synology's Surveillance Station software plays a key role since it is one of the most advanced surveillance apps around.
