I'm about to start trying to see how far I can get with the i7 7700k and my build. I'd like your opinion as to which bios settings might be important to think about.
I'll be using the Asus Maximus IX z270 motherboard
My only Drive is an SSD 1tb (no m.2 for now)
Running windows 10
My graphics card is a GTX 1080 (asus gaming strix)
My ram is Avexir 3000mhz 16gb (2x8gb)
I'm running a custom waterloop, which is quite overkill atm because it's only cooling the cpu in the loop (not the gpu which is air cooled only). So as of now, I've only run a "lazy man's overclock" using the software that came with the mobo, and I tested 4.8ghz and under 1hr load prime 95 small FFTS (max temp) I get 54 celsius degrees max from my cpu cores. So plenty of headroom apparantly
