Hello guys,
does anyone know where to get a newer DOS version of nvflash? I'm trying to do a blind flash but the old 5.1xx version isn't able to see my graphicscard when i type --list.

Saly that's the latest dos version I could find. Hope anyone got something for me :(

You might need to force it, or you may very well have fubard the card.

What nv flash version are you trying to use?

Go to this Page here,
https://www.techpowerup.com/download/nvidia-nvflash/

Get the Latest version and then the latest DOS version, find a tutorial online how to do it properly. Good luck

Knob basicially answered my question. I'll use freedos, it does support 32bit applications, meaning i can use the newest NVFLASH 32bit version.

What do u mean force fubard the card?
because right now I got a pain in the ass GTX 980M Dell card and I'm trying to make that thing work on a clevo which doesn't recognize the card at all. Seems like my only option is to find an alienware and flash it on that or go and look for someone with raspherry pi and do it direcly on the chip.

Dell's bios is totally different from a clevo, you may want to get a card designed for the clevo or a dell laptop.

See my previous message for the link.

I noticed as much, so basicially it's either finding a dell notebook or rasphberry then. Already downloaded clevo vbios prema V2, just need to get myself an alienware, which so far, is quite a challenge.

When it comes to mgpus they are not nearly as modular compared to desktop parts.

You would need a vbios from the card itself and one from clevo to be able to compare the code written in each to maybe even make changes, which great risk of killing the card is there. Its best to spend some money at this point.

Unless the Card you are trying to fit and get to work in laptop is Supported by that laptop
then your in for a world of grief and headbanging
While the Card may fit and is Slot compatible Getting it to work is a completely different thing
Discrete Graphics card Bios for Laptops are usualy Part of the OEM Laptop Bios and not just plug and play

both companys use Bios whitelist's of approved parts so unless you obtain a suitable whitelisted part ( supported )
then your most probably wasting time money and end up dripping blood from banging your head into a brick wall with frustration

I have Prema BIOS on my Clevo P157SM, So it does indeed support the Maxwell series.

It's all a vBios thing.

The gpus are locked down as dorsetknob stated before, unless if you have the machine code it wont work. And w/e bios you are using in the machine is obviously not compatible with the gpu.
