The Viper V770 is Patriot Memory's first RGB backlit keyboard, and they have made sure it leaves an unforgettable impression. It features dedicated media, macro, and lighting control buttons, USB and audio pass-through, full 16.8 M RGB backlighting on not just every single key on the keyboard, but also the provided wrist rest, and a lightweight driver to offer more control and functionality.

I recently got CM masterkeys Pro M with Cherry MX Red switches and Kailh Red switches are comparatively mushy feeling. Other than lower cost I dont think they really make any sense for mechanical keyboard.

Unless those were from an older batch maybe? The ones from last year I had were similar and I really did not like them but these felt very good to me.

My Gigabyte K85 is about a year old so yeah the batch of those keys must be old. If Kailh has improved the fell of their keys then thats a good news as that mushy feedback is quite off putting.

They introduced 8 new switches this year built off new molds, and since then everything has been really good. The more everyone pushes each other, the better. Else we would just have Cherry sitting and doing nothing for two decades as before the patent expired.

It's ugly. It reminds me of the old Saitek cyborg gaming keyboards

certainly competition has been great for peripheral market. Just a few years back almost all the keyboards were membrane keyboards with very few choices for mechanical keyboards, now there are hundreds of choices. Good to hear Kailh taking step in right direction.

I like this one, not as good as the Corsair k series but very close! I wonder how good the next iteration will be..:toast:
