I bought mine at this price last week but they brought the price back! $269 for this processor is an amazing deal with the led spire cooler.

oh yeah im looking at my WS with that cooler right now... Ok for a ws/budget build as it's good up to 3.7ghz but not past that unless you want to boil some water with your proc

You tried to remove it? Mine got stuck on the motherboard back plate... I don't understand why it has to be screwed in place, when their normal cooler design uses clips. Took quite a bit of force to pull it off the motherboard back plate. Might've been a badly made back plate as well though...

Not crap at all, does exactly what it is intended to do and does it well. Only outside of intended parameters does it show a weakness. And for those looking to make a 1700 close to or as quick as a stock - much higher cost 1800x and not more, works great! This makes the 1700 with cooler at this price point an exceptional bargain. Without cooler - still an exceptional bargain at $269
