no, there isn't as far as i know, you should use 12 hour anyway, it's better then 24h time, ask yourself how many actual clocks and watches use 24 hour time, none because the numbers would be too small...

Here in Spain they are widely used and I am used it to them, maybe I would have to life with 12 hours for forums :(

I don't understand "because the numbers would be too small..." ohh are you referring to analog ones? all are 12 h, but digital ones almost all are 24 h here lol

That is kind of an odd statement.

The 24 hour clocks and watches I've seen don't have numbers any smaller than normal clocks. They just have the 13-24 printed right next to the 1-12.

Like so:

And anything digital takes up the same amount of space or sometimes the numbers are even bigger, because you don't have to have something to tell you if it is AM or PM, so the number part of the display can be bigger.

it's just personal preference, why do you even need AM/PM?

it's not hard to tell if it's AM/PM, just look outside

Not when you live close to the polar circle it's not. :p

Well unless ya cannot look out the window whats the point in using the 24h clock.

Because I am talking about the time of the posts so the window tip doesn't work there.

Why disregard 24 hour as it is mostly used in Europe as I understand?? besides I am talking to be a configurable option so one can choose 12 or 24 as they want. In my case I always be used to see for example 20:30 instead of 08:30 PM.

Is the same as allow dd/mm/yyyy or other system besides mm/dd/yyyy, or allowing using the coma as decimal separator or taking Monday as the first day of week, because people are used to view in the system used in his/her country :)
