NETGEAR has launched a new Nighthawk Pro Gaming lineup of networking products, beginning with the XR500 router. With DumaOS powering it as a firmware with gaming-centric features, including geo-filtering, and a strong suite of other features accompanying it (VPN, media server, remote access), the Nighthawk XR500 is a gaming product that does live up to the moniker.

I think you need to read up on your standards, 802.3ab is not 802.11a/b, it's simply Gigabit Ethernet - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IEEE_802.3
Any reason you didn't pop off the RF cans? they're quite easy to remove with a flathead screw driver or similar.
Also, Wikidevi is often a great source for the internal components - https://wikidevi.com/wiki/Netgear_XR500

OS looks a lot nicer than Netgears traditional OS, which is, imho, very long in the tooth by now.
Hopefully they'll add this to more products.
