monarch has them, they clock like mad

Say, any of you know the answer to this question... That Asrock Dual Sata can use AGP and PCI-E simultaneously. Now, I wonder, I still have a rather good Matrox PCI-card... Could I use that aswell? Three monitors for teh win! :)

I've been considering a new mobo and cpu as part of my de-DELLifying of my Dell 4600. And my pick was definately the ASRock mobo that's been mentioned as I have an X800Pro (Flashed to XTPE) that I need to keep. (The whole AGP/PCIE thing!)

As for CPU, I have heard that the semprons OC well but I'm not sure if the OC enough for today's games, although todays games are GPU hungry not CPU. An X2 of course would be nice but it depends on if you can afford it.

Semprons are only for socket 754, which that ASRock board is not (its 939)

celeons are the worst cpu's for gaming i had and 2.5 with a radoen 9250 (256mb)and my friend p4 1.7 and some geforce4 card and smoked me in gaming but intel is abit out of your price range if you do go with them get a p4 6xx series or higher becase those r the only ones out that will beable to run vista fully that includes the daul cores but amd is got so much better daul core chips
i wont even go with intels but for the 6xx's amd is diffently best when comparing gaming benchmarks but i run all my gaming at the highest setting posable with my intel and the smoothness and play ablity is awsome so i really dont see much of a diffence in them they both over power games althought amds do it a little better the reson i chose intel is the ht make windows run so much somther and they are faster when you have to wight for something to get done like dvd or cd ripping or installing a program but that not to say that amd can't do it in a fashionable time ethier but ht make windows run smoother

and im talk about the amd3000 and p4 2.8ht or higher excluding the fx's and the exteme edtions those r both great processor the the fx's are so much better as r the amd daulcore but if you using your computer for over 60% gaming go with a deffentily go with amd if not it a matter of cash and if you want to shave of a little time in app's go with intel

there r a ton of good mobo out there you first have to deside on the cpu repost after u desided with your price range for the mobo and the guy here will surely help you out

AsRock 939Dual-SATA2 and Amd 64

I have the AsRock 939Dual-SATA2 with an AMD64 3200 Venice and it is a sweet setup. Got it because at the time had an agp video card that I wasn't ready to upgrade yet and it is a very nice board for the money. Got the board assembled with the retail 3200 and a Thermaltake cooler for under 250 shipped from Monarch. I have the card running at 2.46ghz easy at 1.45V, my only drawback is my memory which when i go up to 2.5 ghz gives me errors on Memtest. After Christmas I'm gonna get some new memory and really see how far this chip will go. There is a voltmod out there to increase the cpu voltage that you most likely will have to do do get good overclocking from this board, but sound real easy to do if you are careful. So whetehr you choose venice or optym, you will have yourself a great machine for the money.
