Cooler Master wants to leverage their factory and design capabilities to bring out highly addressable RGB LED fans without breaking the bank. The MasterFan MF120 Halo has 24 LEDs per fan and supports all mainstream motherboard lighting solutions while aiming to offer a hybrid balance of static pressure and airflow.

Good review. Not surprised at the low performance but they look amazing at least.

Do you plan on reviewing the EKWB X3M D-RGB fans? Curious to see how they hold up on radiators.

I am currently stuck in Taiwan, and I have a few weeks, if not months, before I am settled in the UK for more testing. I definitely want to, but this Coronavirus situation is delaying everything.

Aren't these things a bit loud?

They do look good though.

The typical ambient noise level in most places is 30 dBA or higher, so it's not that bad. Also keep in mind that I measure at 6" away from the fans for good SNR.

The first comment here was the best rating of the product, personally I would dare to say that it is being misused or used by the brand for further fraud. The quality is ultra low and losing a large percentage of preformance at the expense of looks is something normal for many manufacturers lately. Valuation - great value - does not belong here! It belongs to the $ 6 class and that's a lot! Advertising review. On the radiator, the fan falls more into the draw position if you do not use the posh pool layout, and if they were a bit smarter should start making illuminated dust filters! There is need on almost any transparent case !

Can you please give a brief description of each lighting effect from the included controller, as I had the MF120 fan kit in a previous build and had to use the included controller but was put off by not being able to choose a static/solid colour. I was only able to cycle through rainbow, breathing, fade and some other light swirl effect. It also came with a mini temp sensor which would gradually change the colour in accordance to the current temp (blue when cool, red when hot).

Sadly, I had submitted this review well over a month ago and have packed up all my stuff to move to another place since. I am unable to test all the lighting effects from the controller myself, but I can ask CM and see if they can help.

Totally understandable! Thanks for the response and stay safe.

I'm used to buying fans rated at 16 dBA neighborhoods although my hearing is going south fast, so it may not matter as much anymore.
