ASUS recently posted a teaser collage of its upcoming motherboards, in which a motherboard with ProArt branding stood out. ASUS targets products from its ProArt brand at serious content creators, engineers, and professionals. The lineup includes notebooks, monitors, desktops, and other components related to creators. VideoCardz scored the first clear picture of the latest entry to the series, the ProArt Z490 Creator 10G. The board tosses out all "gaming" bling in favor of sober product design and premium components that go into reliable quasi-workstation builds. The ProArt brand is picking up the mantle from the coveted Pro WS brand.

Chunky, stall heatsinks with straight ridged lines cool the CPU VRM and two of the the board's three M.2 slots. Connectivity includes a 10 GbE interface through an included add-on card; a 1 GbE / 2.5 GbE onboard Ethernet interface, at least four USB 3.2 x2 ports (from which two are type-C), and display connectors that include a pair of DisplayPorts and a HDMI.

Do want.

what a intel board for creators? lol

ANOTHER Creator board? First MSI then Asrock now ASUS?
These guys have to come up with a different name. Why even ditch Pro WS name? It was just fine

No PLX bridges? Only 16 lanes PCIe by CPU and and limited storage support... WS Z390 Pro is good, but this...
And poor VRM heatsink. Of course, if you will use PL1/2 in Auto, it's no problem.
Still waiting RKL.

Was kind of expecting dual eth (i225 included) on board.
This expansion thing is just a waste

Every time I see the name, this song is all I hear rest of the day.

Damn it! Even have it on vinyl... :P

Agreed.... IIRC, most creators usually use multiple expansion cards for various puposes (audio/video capture, accelerators etc), and having to use up a valuable PCIE slot just to get 10G seems somewhat short-sighted IMHO....especially since it will be a good yet while until 10G connections are more commonplace, and they could have just incorporated into the board from the start, without the added expense and having to deal with installing an ugly, bulky AIC....

Having said that, I do like the overall no-bling, stealthy-looking appearance of the board, even though it could be better on the components/features side :)

And here's the white accented Z490 Strix board teased in the same collage. :)

Would look nice in a white or white / silver build me thinks. Price is gonna be high though..
