Hot on the heels of the Radeon RX 6800 XT Pulse picture leak, VideoCardz brings us pics of its pricier sibling, the RX 6800 XT NITRO+. This will be the most premium air-cooled custom-design RX 6800 XT graphics card by Sapphire. Much like the Pulse, the NITRO+ features a meaty triple-slot cooling solution ventilated by three fans. The heatsink of the NITRO+ is larger than that of the Pulse, and looks taller. The PCB is shorter than the card itself, so the extra length go toward air flow-through. There appears to be a design focus on making the cooler shroud airy, with large cutouts wherever possible. At the same time, as its premium offering, Sapphire gave the NITRO+ plenty of RGB LED bling. The card also appears to feature a header so you can sync your lighting to the card. The card draws power from a pair of 8-pin PCIe power inputs, outputs include two DisplayPorts, an HDMI port, and a USB-C port with DisplayPort passthrough.

The RGB on this render looks pretty bad, like the silvery/metallic backplate tho

honestly not excited for the ray-tracing performance in the 6800 series. It and the absence of a true DLSS alternative boost the value of the 3080 immensely. And next year an Ampere Super refresh on 7nm will solidify the Nvidia raster advantage

Not excited in some of the things related to the current Nvidia cards either, going all the way from the antic control panel to other things.

This looks like really a great card, just toy with other settings. It could be faster than the Nvidia alternative, anyway. Especially if it overclocks well. Cooling shouldn't be an issue here, but Nvidia's clocks are.

Looks like Big Navi will be another amazing crypto mining card. I wonder how many will actually be able yo get into hands of gamers among the scalpers and crypto miners.

Not this shit again...

And here I thought that AMD moving the compute part away from RDNA would cut down the miners' obsession with Radeon GPUs...

I hope it's fake. Fuck that mining shit!

y/A/w/N....

seems a pretty silly design choice to have 3 different sized fans,,,, wTf izzuppwitdat ?

Even if it was crap at mining, scalpers would be all over it anyways, so it doesn't change much to gamers tbh.

Yeah well the fans obviously arranged for the airflow that goes through the fins. Like the biggest fan is halfway blowing to the empty side of the large chunk on the right end so the air can dissipate, I think.

Totally selling my 5700xt nitro+ to get this

I like this one a lot more than the Pulse.

Though, for anyone that knows Sapphire's line ups. Which card is usually the better one? Pulse or Nitro+?

EDIT: I guess it says in the posting. Nitro+ > Pulse

Whatever I end up getting, EK better have a waterblock for it. :p

Aaaand the Nitro-series is here...kaboom baby. Pure awesomeness :)

This is the Nitro+ SE; the regular Nitro+ has plain black fans.

Either way, hoping to get one or the other or a 6800/XT at all.

Agree. Shroud and backplate looks great. Fans are other story. Hate RGB...

They won't, they never have. Bykski always does though, and I believe Barrow does as well

Yeah, don't really care about EK either here. I had couple Barrow products, they were OK. Bykski, never tried them but they seem to be around Barrow quality, so nothing too fancy. Bitspower maybe? Not sure. Their stuff can be good though.

Not this again it should be illegal and ppl jailed for this if this going to happen again in 2020 with Nvidia/Samsung fails to get the RTX 30 series out.

:D :D Okay.

Looks million times better than the Nvidia AIB 3000 series cards this year. Horrible garbage designs came from ASUS and EVGA.

alphacool is the only company that i know of that made a nitro waterblock.

Odd design decision having the largest fan blowing through the shroud, when it would make more sense to me to have it over the VRM section and the smallest fan at the tail end blowing through the shroud where there is less resistance.

the thermal results people did on the nvidia FE cards showed that the airflow there helped reduce CPU temps on air cooled systems - it might seem weird but the passthrough air has a large benefit for the system as a whole by removing a deadspot

I want to see it without the RGB fan.
I've been a huge fan of Sapphire's Nitro series, one of the sleekest design. But the RGB fan in this render kind of ruined it for me.

RGB fan is Nitro+ SE. Usual Nitro+ has black fans.
