It looks like AMD Ryzen 5000 mobile processors based on Zen 3 and Zen 2 will be hitting store shelves soon as laptops from ASUS and Lenovo have been listed by multiple retailers. The listings reveal the high performance 5000H processors along with the more common low power 5000U series, both expected to be officially announced by AMD during CES 2021. The leaks confirm existing rumors about the Ryzen 5000U series including the inclusion of both Zen 2 and Zen 3 models making for quite the confusing lineup.

We can also see at least four new Ryzen 5000H processors which are based exclusively on Zen 3 and are designed to be used in larger laptops with higher thermal and power limits. The new high power mobile processors include the Ryzen 9 5900HX, Ryzen 9 5900HS, Ryzen 7 5800H, and Ryzen 5 5600H. The Ryzen 7 and Ryzen 9 processors all feature 8 cores and 16 threads along with 8 GPU cores. The Ryzen 5 5600H features 6 cores and 12 threads with a base clock of 3 GHz and a boost clock of 4.1 GHz all in a 45 W TDP.

So Odd Number = Zen 2, Even Number = Zen 3, except for Ryzen 9 which is all Zen 3?

I think the Lucienne chips will be targeted at the cheaper laptops, where Renoir is right now. Under $800, 1080p, etc.

Therefore it's possible that laptops using Cezanne will cost more, for premium laptops, say $200 more at least than the matching Lucienne laptop, but should have better screen, etc, as a default.

There would be some overlap between low-end CZN and high end LCN of course.

The whole reason for skipping 4000 series was because some dumbass decided to release 4000 as Zen 2 for dumbshit OEMS.

So now not even half a year later some dumbshit is doing the same thing to 5000 series? ︀

CES convention is usually is done in Las Vegas, NV in the US, its always done in the 1st week of January. I think the next CES is from jan 4-9th 2021. This year is going to be all digital but usually its the largest convention that Las Vegas has for the entire year.

Meanwhile I am still looking for any 17" notebook with Zen2-whatever. It feels like AMD notebooks end at 15,4" for some obscure reason.

I am in the same boat, I would love a zen2 17in laptop. Very few models come in 17in screens and non more than a 2060.
