The Audio-Technica Creator Pack is a home voice recording and streaming kit that consists of a great USB microphone, a good pair of studio monitoring headphones, a boom arm, and a desktop tripod stand. It's meant for streamers, podcasters, and vloggers, or those looking for a higher quality audio recording solution for home or office use.

Great review.
I have the ATH-M50x and they sound better or in the same class as some $500 headphones while costing less than a third of that.
I've had Pioneer, Sony and Sennheiser before, but Audio-Technica has really great stuff.
I was thinking about buying a new microphone. After this review I will definitely consider the ATR2500x-USB.

It has the same headband as the M50X, which will eventually peel and flake. I ended up cutting off the vinyl and the cushion foam under it to solve this problem on my M50X.

wow! surprised by the price.

Thanks for the superb review! Although I do not intend on buying it, I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. I especially liked your high quality photos!

Looks like a really good bundle for a reasonable price.

$200 for this pack seems too good to pass up.

Except the cans are compete garbage, the arm is crap and the mic decent.

If you want Audio Technica, you go buy their Elite series to ATM710 and stick those to an interface of your choice.

The aforementioned config is possible around $300 and will get you way superior results.

Boxed MXL 770 (by Marshall) with spider for $80 is legendary killer deal. But still, this AT pack looks tasty, i think is pretty ok for rookies

MXL is the way to go indeed, they make the V67Q which seems to be a mad good stereo mic.

For a "studio monitor" I don't think they're fit for business: the bass and treble are too "boosted" for that. The M40x has a flatter frequency response. The M50x sounds great for music though, although I find them to be a bit on the harsh side (very slightly) and I tend to scoop a db or two off in the 1k to 2k bands to take the edge off.

Mine hasn't started flaking yet but it's cracked almost all the way across. If the M20x has the same covering, I would definitely expect it.

I also find them incredibly uncomfortable for long term use, at least if you wear glasses. They're way to tight for me and have never broken in to the point they became comfortable, but the M20x in the review has a different metal band on the inside (it's two pieces instead of one solid one) so maybe they're not as tight.

I think it might be an issue with the cups themselves though because the pain comes from pressure at the top of the ear. So if the M20x are the same size, the opening might be too small for some people. I have pretty good size ears though.

By comparison, I have a Sennheiser Game One headset (which have a pretty standard Sennheiser cup size and shape) that I can wear literally all day long without issue, but I would bet some people would find them to be a little too big and/or loose.

One thing I take issue with on the M20x is the non-detachable cable, as the cable has been the failure point on almost all headphones I've owned. For the price though, I wouldn't have expected one.

The M50X is the best headphone I have ever used considering both sound quality, durability (with the exception of the band), and comfort. I've been using them about 4-5 years now. I don't wear glasses and removal of the pad didn't change my impression of comfort, I have thick hair and the headset is actually more comfortable with just the hard plastic band because it feels cooler / less sweaty against my head. I have a small head so I wear the M50X with the smallest band setting. On my M50X, I use Auray brand sheepskin leather earpads that are sized for an HD280 Pro. I recommend adding these as an upgrade to the M50X.

However, my experience with other headphones is limited. I use these headphones for gaming. I just have experience with the Sennheiser HD570 (really comfortable, sounded great, but the jack failed multiple times, eventually tossed them), the Sennheiser HD280 Pro (sounded terrible and the squiggly cables are garbage), and the Microsoft Lifechat LX3000 (nearly indestructible, as just a cheap gaming/skype headset it had pretty good quality audio).
