QNAP Systems, Inc., a leading computing, networking, and storage solution innovator, today launched the 2-bay TS-233 NAS suitable for home/office environments. With a sleek design and quiet fan, the TS-233 provides a cost-effective centralized storage, backup, file sharing, and multimedia solution that features rich NAS applications for greater productivity and boundless entertainment.
The TS-233 features an ARM Cortex A55 quad-core processor with integrated 2 GB memory. It can be used with 3.5-inch SATA 6 Gb/s SSDs and supports AES-NI encryption acceleration, providing a secure, high-speed backup/restore, file access and sharing experience. With a built-in NPU (Neural network Processing Unit) processor, the TS-233 also boosts QNAP AI Core (the AI-powered engine for image recognition) performance for high-speed face and object recognition.
"The TS-233 ticks many boxes for home and small business users. Home users will love its centralized backup, personal cloud solution, and multimedia options; while offices and organizations can benefit from streamlined storage, easy file sync/sharing and collaboration that can empower remote and hybrid working" said Jerry Deng, Product Manager of QNAP.
The new TS-233 comes with the latest QTS 5.0 operating system, featuring rich NAS home/business applications: File Station streamlines NAS file access, sharing, and management through a web browser; Hybrid Backup Sync can easily back up NAS files to the cloud or another NAS to fulfill the 3-2-1 backup strategy; Qsync enables efficient file synchronization across multiple users and devices. With multimedia applications such as QuMagie, Video Station, and Music Station, QNAP NAS users can centrally store and manage all their photos, videos, and music files. In addition, the TS-233 supports ARM NEON technology that accelerates video processing for a greater entertainment experience.
