Ok, so I rma'd my Corsair XMS2 2x1024 C4 RAM, coz 1 of the sticks died!

They are going to give me my money back, I managed to get it to boot @ DDR 960 with +.2v @ 5-5-5-15! Which I had running for weeks before it decided to die on me :(

Im wondering if I should get the same stuff again or go with a different manufacturer, that I will hopefully beable to hit DDR 1000 stable!

Have alook @ my specs and give me some ideas of what I can get, I will have £175 to spend once im credited!

Thanks guys

;)

Anyone got any advice?

I would go for the same stuff, but maybe not push it to hard... when you are sure it's stable at 960, then go for the 1000mhz.

960 was the max stable it would go, it would boot @ 975 just not stable enough!

Thats why im sorta thinking along the DDR 1000 lines and just get 1Gb - 2 x 512Mb, run them @ stock but have a higher FSB, coz I know this cpu will do 500FSB with the right ram, then in a couple of months get another set and make it up to 2Gb, im not going the vista path for another year yet so that sound like a plan, maybe!!

;)

it's better to have 2 gb medium ram then 1gb of good ram..:)
