2gig only reads 1.5gig

I have 4 sticks of ram. two is 256mb single sided and the other two is 512mb double sided. all of them is PC3200. I have dual channel. the computer is an Emachine T6212.

3 of them reads each memory timing:
@ 200 mhz 3.0-3-3-8 CL-RCD-RP-RAS
@ 166 mhz 2.5-3-3-7 CL-RCD-RP-RAS
@ 133 mhz 2.0-2-2-6 CL- RCD-RP-RAS

while the 4th stick 512mb reads only 1 line:
@ 200 mhz 2.5-3-3-8



all 4 sticks are installed and it supose to read 2gig total but I only manage to get 1.5gig. switch back and forth installing this slot installing that slot mix and match sometimes read 256mb, 512mb and highest it read is 1.5gig... tried many many method. I gave up and stay on 1.5gig however I still want to read all 2gig. any idea how to make it read 2gig?

Dont know if my math is as right as yours......2X512mb=1GB + 2X256=512mb....so you only have 1.5GB of RAM installed ! Why WOULD it read 2GB if only 1.5GB worth of ram was in the machine?

the only way it will read 2GB of RAM is if there was 2GB worth installed in your PC.

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh myyyyyy goddddddd!!!!!!!!!!!!! for all this time I thought I supose to have 2gig total!!!! yayayayayya!!!! this is totally shocking!!! I always thought theres something wrong about one of the module that dont read!

please do not think I am posting this for fun! it is really true that I thought It supose to read 2gig! oh my god! I still cannot believe for all this time i've been bothered about the ram! I gave up on this but then it still bothering me and thank goodness I havent really give up and ask and bammm! all cleared up!
