The Fractal Design Terra is not your usual SFF chassis. While it does have all the fixings of a sandwich-style ITX case with lots of engineering details, the clear focus is the amazing material mix of aluminium and wood, color choices and design above all else.

A neat little box for sure, but a few more colors would be nice too, like a subtle blue or orange or red...and the wood panel on the front is a nice touch, but needs a power indicator as mentioned in the review. Nothing that a dremel tool, $2 led & short piece of wire can't fix though :)

thanks for the review. Everytime this case pops up (since launch) i get this wildly irresistible craving to go SFF. Sadly won't be happening anytime soon. Either way, its a lunch box visual treat which would look great on my desk.

With RGB taking the world by storm innovation for non-RGB alternatives seemed a little on the low side. The Fractal North and the this FD Terra proves otherwise.

The fan slit noise is a shame. Hopefully this case gets a revision that addresses the issue in the future.

Maybe it's my luck or a problem with quality control, but I got one last week, and it was missing all 4 motherboard spacers and graphics card tool-less screws. All of them are supposed to be pre-installed. New case with all the labels, protective foil/tapes and everything else.

The case, in general, is pretty good quality. Some things could be designed better. At this price, there could be some more wood, not only a small part in front. Marketing can brag about it and that's all, but it's not bringing much.
It's a good case, but I feel like we've seen almost the same stuff multiple times in the past, so it's nothing really new or fresh. I still like the little differences like slightly more space here and there that helps with cables.

Lovely little case! :) But those thermal results... :( I'd expect more from a case where the GPU gets fresh air directly from outside.
