While the design does not look nearly as nice as the FE does, the vastly superior cooler performance WHILE staying at the MSRP really makes the FE look quite silly, though in fairness to the FE, it is much smaller.
Good job Zotac!

Sure, the Asus Dual looks better, but the temps are suffering to keep the noise at reasonable levels, while the Zotac might look a bit like a cheap toy, at least is does not compromise where it counts.

So far these are all the cheaper variants. I am sure the more expensive ones (ROG AOrus, Gaming) are coming down the pipe. They should be even better for Thermals.

given the price and perf I'd think AMD is really gonna have to do something (let prices slide noticeably, or introduce new variants). There are enough "wins" here (perf, price, rt, dlss3, compute-ecosystem, etc) that (unless I'm reading things very very wrong) AMD is just largely noncompetitive in this key (?) segment.

Personally, I don't need dlss, or rt, or compute, so was leaning towards either a 7800xt or a 7900GRE if they become avail here (or maybe an underclocked 7900xt if prices dropped more than seems likely), but this seems overall like a better proposition even w/o those things (which are all clear NV wins for those who need those things). My pt is less A>B than "I think AMD has to change their offering pdq".

disclosure: I've been using nv since the 440GT, never had problems/complaints, but was leaning towards AMD. Use case for me is older mmo's at 4k w/ min possible noise (b/g is <18db), under linux

I would buy it, but the thought of not being able to play a game released roughly at the same time at less than 100 fps (even more so without the setup used in this review) in 1080p ruins it for a gaming card. I'll wait for the 4070 TI Super with the 16 Gb. Thanks for the thorough review!

There will be plenty of people that will buy Asus, MSI and Gigabyte high end GPUs. Zotac is popular for those who know but there are plenty of sheep out there.

Question about this:

All GeForce RTX 4070 Super graphics cards use the 12+4 pin ATX 12VHPWR connector, an adapter cable is included in the box.

Can someone clarify if this has the revised design 12V-2x6 or the older 12VHPWR connector?

I see this for $650 at newegg and $700 at Amazon respectively, so not quite $600.

Really will depend on price. At $650-700, it is more along the price side. Waiting to see what Best Buy prices it, if they carry Zotac.

Gigabyte has a Windforce model with 3 fans for $600. I know it might not be as good, but probably better than competing 2 fan models at the price. And that is $50-100 less than this Zotac.

I assume that info is wrong. Their own website sells it for $650. Newegg is $650, and Amazon is $700. If you can find a store that sells it for $600 let me know.

Considering the Twin Edge is $600, I am doubting they will price it the same.

However, it is surprising that Zotac's own store is not following that pricing statement. @W1zzard Could they have misquoted the price to you? It seems to me that the Twin Edge being $600 and the Trinity being $650 might have been a mistaken quote of pricing on their part.

I am almost certain that is the case. I just can't imagine they ever intended on this being $600, seeing that they have a more basic model. And I doubt they planned on selling any 4070 Super for below MSRP. Maybe $620-30, but I doubt it will go to $600 unless on sale.

Cooler design looks quite built up compared to $600 models. Seems more like a competitor for the ASUS TUF/MSI Sperium (or whatever they call it) types of coolers. In which case this still might be a good deal if comparing to those.

Well yeah, but that's Euro pricing. Variations of this are kind of expected based on region. Dollars do not translate directly into Euro's or other currencies.
