So, I have been using VeraCrypt for a few years now. Have done A few 2 -3tb containers in the past. I have A case use where, I want to use Windows Storage spaces with Parity... that gives me 1 drive = 7.8 TB with one disk fail over that I can rebuild in any windows machine. In that 7.8 tb storage pool , I have started to make A 4tb container ... it has been going on for more then 48 hours now .. I can hear the drives, also their temps were hitting 50c to I added another fan on them.

I did start this with A non- quick fromat .. however after 5 hours it was still less then 1 % ... waited another hour it was still just 1% assumed the GUI was bugged or something and left it to be .. I think the next time i checked it .. it was maybe 9 hours in and still 1% ... and about 2 hours after that it had changed to 2%.
At this point I did not think it was bugged, but was going to take 11 hours per 1% = 1100 / 24 = 45 days ... so .. i canceled and restarted with A Quick format.

It has been at it for about 60 hours now ... however with Quick format .. thier is no % .. or anything .. the Done says 100% , speed 2.TiB/s , Left is blank.

So I have no clue what is going on .... is it just doing nothing you think .. is it just A bugged GUI.

I have done 3 -4 tb on single drives before and it never takes this long ...

What do yall think ?

Windows Storage Spaces with parity is extremely slow, especially with write operations. So I'm guessing it's just really taking that long.
