Nvm, whatever the issue is on the game itself, REPO, and not on the laptop. Guessing the battlebit is a entirely separate issue.

TL; DR, I "fucked" up my laptop, preventing it from going above 400 FPS when the dGPU is rendering the laptop screen @ 240Hz (works fine on 60Hz) and somehow not mess up the performance.

This is most definitely user error and stupidity on my part, but live and learn ig + could be a lot worse.

So about 4 months back, decided to repaste my 1.5 y/o Zephyrus M16 (GU604VI) w/ PTM7950 & Upsiren on the GPU, Vram & VRM aswell as respread the LM on the CPU which I made damn certain to not get it anywhere on the board. This was the first time I have done this. Went pretty well (at the time), plus a much better cooling pad and it no longer has issues with thermal throttling. But I think during the process I messed up something with the dGPU side of things. When I am using the laptop ultimate mode (mux switch) @ 240Hz and +240 fps (unsure on what specific fps causes the issue), specifically on REPO (only multiplayer, could not get it replicated in singleplayer for whatever reason). My screen would suddenly get color distortion than black, but my external monitor would still be working just fine, though it would eventually crash. Now if I swapped to standard mode, I could still use 240Hz on REPO or if I capped my screen to 60Hz on ultimate this issue doesn't occur at all.

Some of the replication I have done was go to different games with 240Hz on and try to get as high of a fps I could get. After testing a few games, managed to finally replicate it on Battlebit Remastered. Above ~400 fps, steam fps overlay disappeared and only reappearing for a second when I alt+tabbed, than the laptop screen went black except for the external monitor. Which had atleast confirmed it wasn't just an issue with REPO.

Any ideas what could be causing this??? I had already reseated the eDP, a day after the repaste when I first saw the color distortion on REPO. which honestly scared me shitless since I thought the laptop was gonna be bricked after the restart. Might recheck it though just incase I fucked up on the 2nd try even though it is unlikely since there is no issues with the iGPU.

But honestly at this point, I am just gonna lock my FPS to 240 or lower for lower thermals and be happy that the laptop isn't completely fucked up. Weirdest part, whatever I did, doesn't even affect performance. Laptop scores a 14073 Timespy & 3093 Steel Nomad which is above avg for what similar systems score. Would love to somehow find out what I fucked up, though kinda doubt I will due to how niche and confusing/stupid of an issue this is.
