Rich asses, it's only like $600...which isn't bad at all. Too bad it's only 480p,not even 1080i, not true HD at all, but I'm sure you'll enjoy it. $600 isn't bad at all, awesome price. I paid $3,500 for my Samsung HL-R5078W, which is has a resolution of 1920x1080p (yes! 1080p!)...

wow, prices has drop...:toast: i just ordered the HL-S6187W for 1800...:rockout:

what i hear (according to popsci or mech..forgot which one) they said that you cannot buy analog anything in 2007...and around march of 08 (i think), all sigs will be converted to digital.

Well, I did get it when 1080p just first came out, and I really think it's worth it. Samsung is an awesom company, and their tech support is exceptional.

But, it's a good thing that most HDTVs, like yours and mine, have HDMI, so it will work with HD DVD or Blu Ray to have full HD 1080p.

Now Microsoft, listen, you NEED to make an HDMI cable for your Xbox 360 or else...!

That would be gay, since I just got an Xbox 360 two weeks ago! But do you think it will make much of a difference to play games and what-not?

And I prefer and External HD DVD Add-On...I don't want to ruin the Xbox from watching so many HD DVD's.

And the Xbox 360 might be able to hav HDMI because the Xenos GPU might contain HDCP Built-in. All we have to do is wait. But if Microsoft releases an HDMI cable for current Xbox 360s, and release an Xbox 360 v2 with just an HD DVD player internal, I wouldn't care much since I get my HDMI, and I have the option to choose HD DVD or not throught the external one.

but again, i also here that m$ will release a hdmi cable.

i dont see much of an improvement going between RGB comps and HDMI, high def video should be the same no mater what it goes thru.

Yeah...

But there is a difference between Component and HDMI. Currently, not many HDTV's can accept 1080p through component. It requires a digital signal like HDMI. And later on, HD DVD movies can't be viewed unless it's going through a digital signal for HDCP, and you need HDMI for that.

And yeah, 853x480 @ 60Hz sucks compared to 1920x1080 @ 30/60Hz.

Luckily, my Samsung DLP has 1920x1080p...whoo, Gears of War looks awesome on 1920x1080i and 1280x720p, but looks crap on 852x480i/p on my 50".
