I am building a MAME machine and have an AMD 3400+ cpu and looking for a cheapie board, memory and video card to run with.

I have some DDR2, but I don't think you can get a 939 board with DDR2 right? If yes, then need ram, if no, I have ram ;)

Just needs to be able run VGA monitor 800x640, maybe a couple of HDDs and sound card for some speakers.

PM if you have anything that fits the bill.

Thanks

I saw that one thread. That board is overkill for my Mame project.

Half broken does not sound too good  What does not work?

When you shutdown, S3 or Hibernate the machine will not boot. You have to turn off the PSU button then power back on it will boot. If you are running your machine 24/7 or shutdown power off PSU etc then it won't be a problem. BTW what is 'MAME'?

MAME - Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator

It is an arcade program. You can play all the oldies like Pacman, Donkey Kong and so on.

So it does not need to be a powerful machine.

In that case you can get my S754 board with AGP X1600 pro? The 939 board works fine, only when you shutdown or so you have this problem. I know few people run their machine non-stop. So if that is the case you can buy the 939 board. either way let me know.

I would be shutting this machine down often.

So sounds like that would be a pain with the broken board.

Thanks for the offer.

I would like to use my 3400+ so how some way.
