I have read that you can get this card to 450/240 from 250 /200 , I have downloaded ATitool and the new catalist from the web sight . Will this program open the other 4 pipes or is that it . I would like to get all i can get out of this card , or give up my 9500 pro which is bois flashed to 9700 pro running at 324/300 with all 8 pipes open and then ill get a 9800 pro . Do i have to flash the bios to open the other 4 pipes ? Need help . Thanks

The 9550 is built around the R360 chip with lower clock speeds. It only supports 4 pipelines! You can only flash it to a 9600Pro and overclock it or just overclock it. No program will unlock 4 more pipes because there physically isn't any more on the chip...

not quite accurate but the general statement is right. 9550 has an RV350 core in most cases. R360 is a 9800XT core(or some 9800 Pros like mine LOL);)

My bad! Couldn't get to the damn GPU database! My techpowerup main website is screwed at the moment... ;) And I should've put a V in there in any case although the RV360 is usually only used with 9600XT's. Yup, the RV350 is the 9550.

yeah the site is a mess at the moment its not just you

thanks for the help ,Im going to try flashing to a 9600 pro , Wish me luck
