I am using a stock cooler and OCZ memory copper heatsinks on all memory and getting 562:356 which I think is pretty good. I am using ATI Tray Tool with ngohq drivers. Anybody had same or better results and if so how. I am really surprised at the results so far.

System Specs
Aspire 500w blue mod
Athlon 3200+
ThermalTake StarForce Fan UV Blue/Green
ThermalTake Volcano 11+ Heatsink
MSI K7N2GM2
OCZ 1 GIG MEM Kit 2.5-3-3-6
120 SATA segate *meg Cache
Nforce NIC
Realtek Audio
LG 16x DVD-RW DL
Sony 1.44
and a whole lot of uv light ;)
Win XP SP2

ATI Tray Tool ver: 1.03.730

You come to these forums and your not using Atitool  lol j/k. Its looking good, sure its stable? ;)

I know wrong tool Experimenting

Yeah so far so good with HL2 @ 1024x768 and same for DOOM3 ver1.3. frame rates vary but hang aroud 30ish with 4x AA which is kind suprising as this is not a really great AA card ya know.

:D Keep on OC'ing

PS I switch between ATT - ATI Tray

Good to hear your using Atitool lol ;) Keep on going though... :D

Nice overclock OCMx! Mine just needs that extra boost with RAMsinks and a VF-700Cu and then I'll take you on kay? Hehe. LOL

9600XT OC redeaux

OK, I just reloaded and went from Pro to home because suppose to use less resources and all that stuff but my knew oc now is 557:370 and stable so far.

:D Keep on OC'ing

Looks great...

It's RV350 btw. And the RV360 core is a modified version of the RV350. They sorted out some issues with power drain and tweaked and minimized the power usage so they could get higher frequencies. No way you're gonna get a normal 9600 or 9550 to 550MHz without some SERIOUS cooling and voltmodding. And even a 100% overclock on a 9550 is only the stock speed of a 9600XT. And why don't you try setting a 3GHz CPU to 1GHz and then overclocking it to 3GHz so you now have a 300% overclock lol. That's basically what they do with the 9550. ;) It's the same chip designed to run at 400MHz but they just run it at 250MHz. So it doesn't REALLY count actually.

overclocking is not just 4 boastfulness! for me primary is price/performance ratio! :)

Price/Performance

I happen to agree. I oc stuff to get my monies worth. You paid for it so you might as wellget all you can out it.

:D Keep on OC'ing

Dude, that's crazy, my 9600XT, in 2 different cases (an unventilated one and my custom cooled one) it couldn't overclock at all. From 500, it found artifacts and put me down to 498. Same with RAM, and I used ATItool
