Hey guys,

How do i know if my RAM is running in dual-channel mode and what are the actual benefits? Im sure i've got it in the right slots etc, i'd just like to be certain its working right.

Thanks! :D

Easiest way, check with CPU-Z, go to the memory tab and see if it says Dual Channel or Single Channel

Yep.

Dual channel memory = better performance by giving you more bandwidth.

("better performance" not meaning xomg 30k 3dmarks, meaning better memory throughput)

DUal Channel uses two rams at once rather then single channel which uses ram one by one (meaning when the ram has 'finished' its MB it goes to the second ram)

I check by POST. Mine says 2048MB RAM - Dual Channel. Mine are in the black slots.

Thanks a lot guys! Helpful place as always... :D

Yeah, CPUz is the easiest way to see. Also, make sure you read the manual to know which to memory slots you should set your memory in. Some folks, like MSI, have a weird coloring scheme and memory layout scheme.

I need a thank you :P.
