As the name of the thread suggests, 1 out of 3 (2 are full size) of my front USB ports stopped making the two tone connection/disconnection sounds when I unplug and plug-in devices. When I swap my usb receivers for my Corsair mouse and keyboard, only the 2nd port from the Left makes all of the appropriate sounds when connecting or disconnecting either receiver to it. The Left port never makes any sound, the right port always gives the correct sound. I am using a Gigabyte x570 (F38E Bios), Aorus Elite Wifi, latest Nvidia drivers 537.42 on my RTX 4090. CPU Is 5900x. Windows 11 all up to date. I am not sure how long this problem has persisted (at least a week or 2 I first noticed it), since I rarely have to unplug my mouse and/or keyboard. I just noticed there is a brand new bios (F38F- will repost after)
I have tried (unsuccessfully):
-Deleting all USB Entries (hosts and drivers) in Device manager (they repopulate on restart, problem persists)
-Deleting all keyboard and Mouse entries (repopulate on restart, problem continues)
- Thanks for any help/suggestions
*Edit- Updating the Bios from F38e to F38f did not help the problem
- Also ran sfc/scannow and Dism restore...no problems, no fixes
