i got an abit ag8 motherboard (intel grantsdale). it comes without spread spectrum option in CMOS bios setting. if i have to do some setting on it (i.e. enable/disable), what should i do? for example. flash in the mod BIOS to the eprom? thanks.

Is it really necessary to start two different threads with exact same content?

If you're overclocking spread spectrum should be always disabled.

i am newbie here. so please never mind. i know i shoudl disable it, but how if it is enabled as default? i cant find the setting in CMOS BIOS.

If it is enabled and there's no option to disable it with any bios there's available, I would take a modding tools and BIOS file I'd like to use and look is it possibly coded into BIOS. If you can find it there and its hided, just change it so you can see it or possibly disable whole setting for good and flash the modded bios.

can you recommend some tool for modding the Intel BIOS? i am really out of idea of it.

Is AG8 using AMI or Award BIOS?

I used mobin6 to open BIOS file and there's no spread spectrum available.
