dam i just activated my windows xp again..this makes it about 7-8 times total.plus it is acativated on my old pc aswell,i told him it was just a reinstall on this system and microsoft asked me how many computers i had it installed on...i told him 2 computers and he still gave me a new activation.:rockout:

just there is one thing, why u need to activate it in first place

30 days or locked out

if you use your product key more than 2 times on different system, or you do a major hardware change windows will think it is a new computer and will ask for the product key, you are givin 30 days to activate windows or it will lock up.Now if you are talking about cracking windows activation..hmmm i wont even bother.i would rather spend the $100 for the real (upgrade) cd.

Not really, i had to activate again with only a ram change.

not that i am overly honest in this respect.. but i can see why even an honest person would resort to illegal means to combat this over the top copyright protection crap..

window activation just cos u upgrade your own property.. having to put a game CD in the drive before u can play it..

damn good job every piece of software aint plagued by such crap.. imagine having to find the damn CD very time u ran any piece of software..

games that wont play if u have certain software on your machine.. and with the new coming windows its all gonna get ten times worse.. he he he

the lates one that pisses me of is having to phone home to the mothership for veryification every time u run something..

i can see a reason for em doing all this stuff.. but i can also see a good reason for joe public objecting to it..

they dont put their corporate customers thru all this kinda verification crap.. only the home users..

trog

Oh boy why do they even to this to people like us I can see in the near future people complaining about Windows Vista. lol. It never ends.
