If you do not Live in The United States This Post is Only as Half as Useful as it is to the Folks Living within the united States.
If you Live in the United States by now you have heard about Hulu desktop, TV streamed over the Internet right to your Desktop (and now Media center).
It's available for all platforms Here. http://www.hulu.com/labs/hulu-desktop
(this is for Win7)
As I understand it will become a pay service soon and will likely make this post somewhat useless.
For now it does not Come with a Media Center Plug in, which can be Annoying for HTPC users but with a few simple clicks you can add Hulu Desktop to your Windows Media Center Extras Program Library or any program you would like such as Games.
Before you begin Make sure you have access to HIDDEN FOLDERS
1) Install HuluDesktop-Let it install a shortcut on your desktop
2) In the start menu click "Computer" double click "Program Data" double click "Media Center Programs"
3) Then "Drag" "HuluDesktop Shortcut" over to "Media Center Programs" and "drop" it
That's it your DONE when you go into Windows Media Center you will Find the HuluDesktop in your Extras> Extra Program Libraries
Now you can do this with any Application, but it is very useful if you want simple "Remote Control" access to Hulu Without leaving Media center.
When exiting HuluDesktop with your remote simply press the Close program Button then your "Media Center" Button to Return to Media Center.
If you have Media Center set to "Media Only" when you exit HuluDesktop you will automatically return to Media center. (recommended for HTPC's)
