HI,

I was wondering if anyone has tried to add an additional pwm fan to a dell poweredge T620 or similar.

the fan controller on my gpu is not working so I got an adapter to run it off the power supply but its constant, I would love to be able to control it better

i'm guessing the mobo has no other fan headers? You can always run a splitter the CPU fan header

Potentiometer or rheostat

unfortunately the cpu doesn't use a fan header, only heat sinks. and its a server board so no other fan headers either. then the stock 6 that are already used.

Do you know if they can be software controlled? so far all I can find are ones with manual control where I would need to be around the server.

The problem is you have no other fan headers, and im sure those fans already in use are drawing maximum current from each so to try and divide 1 would overload it.
