This is a message for eidairaman1. Im unable to start a conversation, so i'm not sure how to go about it but by creating a forum.

This is also for anyone else who knows how to help on the situation. Please dont hesitate to reply to the thread.

I was referred to you by Avro Arrow from Tom's Hardware Forums. I've been having issues with my RX 570 4GB, specifically with a few things.

My RX 570 Model (4GB)

Here's my post I made about these issues. Feel free to scroll through and check anything.

Driver installations from AMD. Installing adrenaline. Within GPU-Z it shows my Driver Signature as "Unknown".
WIthout using the AMD clockpatcher, I'm unable to update/download my RX570 4GB drivers to the current adrenaline.

Currently, that is how I updated it to the latest version (Adrenalin 23.11.1) as stated in GPU-Z.

Heres some validation to confirm it is a real GPU.
https://valid.x86.fr/n1lcm4 (CPU-Z Validation)

https://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/details/vrxu5 (GPU-Z Validation)

I came across a similar with two people discussing similar issues i'm having. As they can only install drivers using the AMD Clock patcher, and signatures show as "Unknown as well".
Do, take a look at it when you can.

What should I do here? Should I try installing Radeon Legacy drivers?
I believe im needing to flash the proper VBIOS on my RX 570.. im just not sure how. Please let me know how to go through with this. If you could provide a link to it I would appreciate it a ton.

My bios version is UEFI, incase you needed to know
. I had updated my motherboard to its current, by flashing it with a USB. It did not fix the issue however, so im thinking its the GPU.

I'm a noob to PC's as I bought this PC from marketplace. So all of this is new to me. It works fine with gaming. Its excellent. Its just my GPU is being werid.

So you didn’t follow the instructions provided. Ok. Yes I would ddu the drivers and install new ones.
Well I just wasn't sure if it would make a difference. It wasn't going through when I was typing in the command prompt it kept erroring me. Il just do that and see then.
Keep in mind I'm not as knowledgeable on these things, plus it kept bugging me seeing others resolved with issues had with the RX 570.

Good news. Its fixed. I had a feeling even without doing the command prompt, since I did not want to mess it up and brick my GPU i let it do it itself. I used DDU, drivers automatically registered themselves. Thank god...
Hello.
If you have to use AMD clock patcher for using the card in windows, i presume that your BIOS was tampered.
So if you be so kind and attach you current BIOS here on forum and let me take a look at it?

Here you go, provided a GPU-Z Screenshot, alongside an attached BIOS ROM. Let me know what can be done for this.
Yes, unfortunately I have to use the patcher to download/update my drivers. Otherwise I'm met with a bunch of error windows, and display driver issues.

Hello
I can confirm that your BIOS was edited for mining reasons.
So yeah, this is the reason that causes your problems
Now we need to flash it to original BIOS

We need the following pictures :
Labels from the card
GPU-z >advanced tab > and from drop down menu you will choose memory timings

Oh, is this a bad thing that my GPU was used for Mining? I have not noticed any performance issues or stuttering within games but everything has been fine. Does that usually damage the GPU?

Hi.
As long as the mining was made at a decent level of forcing the hardware, then you have a chance.
Here you have The BIOS that is the right match for your card ID subID and memory codes :

Also here you have a short guide how to flash a card :

Im not even sure if it was or how often it was mined.. I bought this Pc off FB marketplace.

It came with an I7 4790k (4GHZ) RX 570 4GB, 8GB DDR3, 750 PSU, Z97-K Asus Motherboard, and a 750 W PSU.

The seller never replied after i mentioned issues with downloading my drivers. Just left on seen. Made me realize he was hiding something. Everything is fine, including cooling, CPU, had to replace ram because it only came with 8GB.

Alright, thank you for the heads-up. Should it be safe to flash my GPU? I'm worried. I have flashed my motherboard previously with success, but it did not fix my driver issue.

Just a noobie, who had to go through 20+hours of windows videos just to get this pc up and running. Seller ignored half my messages. It forced me to learn and be interested in topics however.

Looks like the card is fine. Just flash the BIOS and enjoy the latest drivers.

Im scared to flash. Would it brick my GPU doing it through CMD prompt? Also, should i uninstall current drivers using DDU before flashing my GPU?

It should be safe if you follow the given instructions very closely. Unless the instructions mention anything - there is no need to do anything regarding the drivers.
While flashing vBIOS is usually safe, sometimes it can lead to bricking. However it usually happens when people don't follow the instructions closely, or they have a power loss in a middle of the procedure.
You seem to have been given a fitting vBIOS so it really should be quite safe.

Thats good. I Saw a similar video, with an almost identical card model to mine.

Would this be a better approach to take, instead of using CMD prompt to flash it? Or would either or work. Majority of people have said it worked for them in the comments.

Or would following the thread be better?

Hello. So i flashed my bios with the one you provided. GPU-Z still shows Digital signature unknown. Should I uninstall my drivers with DDU, and reinstall normally now?.
Im noticing some stutter in my games now too, and some lag. I dont know if updating it made something worse or messed up something. I used the program, instead of the command prompt. and it went through sucesssfully. I have made a backup rom from my old BIOS just incase.

My GPU start whirring incredibly loud upon startup after resetting after flashing my Bios. They have been doing that lately. Is that a bad sign? They stop after a few seconds or so.

Hello.
As i told you earlier, you have an ex miner in your computer.
And trust me i know what i am talking about.
That is why i asked you to save the BIOS that came with it.
I opened it in an editor and checked it.
And i noticed right away that your BIOS was for mining purposes.
Enjoy your computer.
Cheers

Thank you for your help. I trusted you. I just never knew the issue I had for almost 3 weeks now was because my GPU was mined.. I was very lost for awhile. I dont know what Id do without you. Seems to be working alot better now, and really took a weight off my shoulder since I was debating if I had to buy a whole new GPU.

To buy one new is the simple way.
Always take the long way 1st.
Again, enjoy it.
