Adrenaline Woes?

Hello! I'm experiencing some issues when trying to play an AVI video on my computer. I didn't encounter any issues on my system with video files before I upgraded to Adrenaline recently. Is this a reported issue for others? Check out the attached file to see what I mean. I put the same type of file on my other computer running a GTX 970 and it displayed just fine. Thinking this a rendering issue with the new driver release.

Did you remove old nvidia drivers? Put the card's stock bios back in

Did you read his post first? He did not upgrade his GPU. Only thing that changed are the drivers. He is asking if other people have noticed the same or similar issues with the new Adrenaline drivers. The GTX 970 is in another computer. Basically, he is asking if it's an issue with his system or with the drivers.

OP, I have yet to install the new drivers so I can't help.

That looks like a video codec problem to me, maybe the one you have is borked some how. I would test that file with VLC to see if codec related as VLC has its own codec package and does not use the codecs installed on the OS but only its own, good luck!

Yes the OP upgraded to new drivers, the question was asked if he removed the old drivers. The old drivers could be causing a conflict with the new thus causing OP problems. Also the OP did not state whether the other system had been upgraded to the new drivers as well. Sometimes when upgrading to new drivers a clean install is recommended to weed out these problems. Or as @DRDNA pointed out it could be a borked codec

Fascinating! The VLC player works, but the Windows software appears to be FUBAR. As for my drivers, I used DDU when I replaced the 970 with the Vega 56 back when I got it.
