Hello everybody my friend is gonna build a pc and he need an advice.
Is gonna usa this pc for gaming, light stuff and maybe some work in the future.
I dont think is gonna overclock maybe in the future but i dont think so
He have a budget of 1200 €.
Here is the list that he maked :

Thermalright CPU Contact Frame -- 13€
Cooler Master MWE 650W Gold V2 -- 110€
ORSAIR VENGEANCE DDR5 RAM 32GB (2x16GB) 5600MHz CL36 Intel XMP -- 110€
ASUS ROG Strix B760-G Gaming WIFI -- 240€
Intel Core i5-12400F -- 170€
ASUS Dual NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 V2 OC Editio, 12GB GDDR6 -- 340€
Cooler Master TD300 Case PC Mesh -- 83€
EZDIY-FAB MOD Sleeved Cable-Prolunga -- 30€
ARCTIC P12 PWM PST -- 11€
ARCTIC Liquid Freezer II 280 -- 110€

Total :1217€

Is gonna buy all from amazon in these days.
Do you have any advice for this build maybe to make it more future-proof?

Thank you

Why not pick a B660 motherboard? 240€ is pretty expensive for a motherboard especially when it goes with a 12400F
You could save more by getting a DDR4 motherboard with DDR4 RAM
Also you don't need a AIO cooler unless you are buying for the aesthetics

is going with the b760 with ddr5 because is gonna update the cpu with the 13th gen in the future
for the aio are you sure is not gonna work better the pc ? (noise, temp, over throttling) for 110€ the arctic seems a good value

Your friend must have storage from old PC?
he already have a Kingston 1024 GB KC3000 PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2

Go for the 4060/4060 Ti.

There's no reason to spend 340 euro on a last gen xx60.

650 W PSU replace with 850 W.

If you keep the 650 W you won't be able to put a strong GPU in without replacing PSU.

EZDIY-FAB MOD Sleeved Cable-Prolunga - you don't need this.

You don't need the contact frame either.

Intel CPUs benefit from fast RAM, 5600/36 is slow.

Just save some money and buy a 13th gen CPU, upgrading from gen 12 to 13 isn't worth it
You can get a high end air cooler with a lower price than the AIO

about that i'm watching videos on youtube, the difference in rasterizer seems null, 4gb less the only thing you can buy that card is rtx and dlss 3
Look at our reviews.

4060 is 15% faster and much more efficient too.

There's no downside to going to 4060 from 3060.

i would build the system around affordable am5 board

I would try and get a 6800/XT level GPU for that build as it's mainly for gaming and they can be had from $400+/- if you shop around

For the same range of price i can find :
XFX SPEEDSTER QICK319 RADEON RX 6750XT CORE 12gb -- 390€
Intel Arc A770 16gb -- 377€
MSI GeForce RTX 4060 VENTUS 2X BLACK 8G OC - 8GB GDDR6 -- 330 €

What would you choose?
Going with intel cpu and gpu is gonna make a difference?
Other thing changing chipset to z790 is gonna make the build better? (maybe 14th gen?)

EZDIY-FAB MOD Sleeved Cable-Prolunga
These ones is only for aesthetics

For the ram what are the specs for best performance/value on intel?

About the contact frame seems its a good value, it's only 10€ can decrease the 3-4 c and prevent the cpu from bending

if i'm gonna change to am5 what are the pros/cons?

What country are you located and what is the monitor resolution?

Intel Arc A770 16gb -- 377€
MSI GeForce RTX 4060 VENTUS 2X BLACK 8G OC - 8GB GDDR6 -- 330 €
Of those 3 the 6750XT is a much more powerful card for the price

i'm in italy, the monitor is a 21:9 2560x1080 75hz
That 120mm Arctic fan goes inside the back of that case for an exhaust fan.

A better look at those components.

Of those 3 the 6750XT is a much more powerful card for the price
10-15% faster for 60 euro more, and using twice the power, worse RT, no DLSS 3 or DLAA.

My friend want to stay on mini tower.

MSI GeForce RTX 4060 VENTUS 2X BLACK 8G -- 320 €
Thermalright LGA1700-BCF Intel 12a/13a - 14€
Intel Core i5-12400F -- 170€
Zasilacz Nzxt NZXT C-Series 750 Watt -- 100€
ASUS Prime AP201, case MicroATX -- 90€
ASUS PRIME Z790M-PLUS Scheda madre Intel Z790 LGA 1700 micro ATX -- 250€
Thermalright PA120 SE ARGB -- 40€
CORSAIR VENGEANCE DDR5 RAM 32GB (2x16GB) 6000MHz CL36 Intel XMP -- 120 €

After talking to my friend and reading your messages, i did some researches and remaked the list.
Upgraded the ram 6000 cl36
Upgrade the mobo to z790 (i'm wondering if maybe i'm gonna find better vrm for few bucks more, oc?)
aio changed to air cooler (pa120 seems good enough)
upgraded psu , it's so good the nzxt
4060 at that price it's the best value at this moment (i hate the 8gb vram)
the cpu stay the 12400f beacuse it's a good value

any good advice?

Looks fine.

I'd get the normal 12/13400 non f, having IGPU is useful as backup and for accelerating certain jobs.

Just keep in mind, when he upgrades to a more powerful cpu, (13700 or 13900 I'm assuming is his end game) that case will make cooling them difficult in its standard configuration. The GPU effectively blocks all airflow from the bottom fans. The CPU will be recycling nothing but preheated GPU exhaust when gaming, if the case is left in its standard bottom to top config. You will likely see much better CPU temps with the top fans as inlets vs exhaust.

Your friend is fortunate to have a buddy willing to do the research for him ;)
GL with the build!

MSI PRO B760M-A WIFI €189.00

ASUS PRIME Z790M-PLUS Scheda madre Intel Z790 LGA 1700 micro ATX -- 250€

if you want to run nvme pcie5 drive one day you will run it in adapter in "1 x PCIe 5.0 x16 slot" slot? you will therefore run gpu in "1 x PCIe 4.0 x16 slot (supports x4 mode)" x4 mode?

250e for such motherboard :)

Definitely buy a CPU with iGPU, an i5-12400 or better, just in case when your dedicated GPU has issues so you always can use your PC without dedicated GPU when needed.

You don't need a Z790 board for that cpu. That cpu doesn't overclock and that board is expensive.
