aiw 9800se tv tuner problem

hi,
i have been trying to get the tv to work using the softmod catylist drivers ,it worked fine with the drivers that are on the cd but then i unistalled all the drivers and installed the softmod drivers and now i just get static when i try and tune channels with any driver ,i know the arial is good because its the same as the cable line ..
any help would be good im new to ati cards and am having a bad time with it already

OCuk radeon 9800se all in wonder 128mb

What I usually do is just keep the drivers installed and install the new drivers over the old ones (except for Omega, since it uses its own control panel).

this is caused by an atitool 0.0.22 installation .. upgrade to 0.0.23 beta

AIW TV not working

I had the same problem and found that DirectX 9b causes the AIW drivers for TV not to work. So just taking the ATI Tool off will not cure the problem. If you go to the Hercules download site for ATI drivers they explain that AIW Drivers do not work with DirectX 9b and the 9800SE. I found that 9a was OK but have not yet tried 9c as I use my card more for games than TV and many games want 9b.
