Hey. I got a Antec Neo Power 500 500W with 3 12v rails.
Currently I am running this on it:
7x 120mm Fans (4 fans connected to a fan controller)
9800 GTX+ (One PCI-E Pin Version)
2x Hard drives (sata)
Optical DVD Burner (sata)

Is this too much for my little PSU? Because Im planning on adding one more HDD or a Blu Ray drive.

You should be fine. people think you need a lot larger psu than you really do.

Yeah i read here one fella was running like 6 120 mm fans and bunch of other stuff on a 350watt. Interesting stuff.

Thanks though. :toast:

You should be fine. HDD and optical drives use virually nothing unless accessed.
Even then once they are up to speed (for HDD) they are pretty conservative.
Your 500w should be good.

im going to have to build another server for myself in the next 18-24 months and im only gonna use a 500-600w psu with 5/6 hard drive several 120mm fans, ect. nothing fancy of course, but again, your good.

6 tb isnt enough? :D :D

well i live with my parents right now. Then again, i may have to upgraded the storage in that think soon enough. building one is for when I move out, i plan on copying everything on it, so that one is 4.5 useable. i figure within 2 years we will have larger drives closer to 3 if not 4 tb making the 2's or 3's cheap. thus 5 x 2/3/4tb drives and one small os drive. a standard $20 dvd drive, a couple slipstream fans for low noise and a low profile cpu cooler.

ah thats another story entirely though when i build it.
