If you wonder will your old Socket 939 cooler fit in the brand new Socket AM2 motherboard, MADSHRIMPS has the answer. The new mounting mechanism may be compatible with some of the current 939 Thermalright, Scythe, Zalman, Coolermaster and other heatsinks. Click here to view the list of 115 heatsinks and learn if their clips will fit on the AM2 mounting holes or you'll have to modify with a custom bracket.

Someone will just release a bracket for AM2 that allows 939 heatsinks.

No the AM2 will be coolerless. Aftermarket manufacturers decided to stop doing business.
