AMD rolled out two successive quick fixes to issues related to Medal of Honor: Warfighter, when running its performance-optimized Catalyst 12.11 "Never Settle" drivers. An application crash was observed when Medal of Honor: Warfighter is run on systems with Radeon HD 7000 GPUs running in CrossFire configurations, with anti-aliasing enabled at the same time. The company pulled Catalyst 12.11 Beta 3 from its websites, AMD Support and AMD GAME, replacing it with the new Beta 4.

I hope this fixes 2D clocks for 7 series reference cards.

So is this a driver we could install over our beta 3?

You can try!

*You're not using a 7 series card, so I don't think it's worth using these betas.

I had that issue with one card lol!

@erocker: that sucks, was hoping for it

Yeah... But I don't mind too much. The performance increase I get in BF3 with these drivers is amazing. I'm seeing about a 10 fps increase all around.

I only just got in from work in and re-installed but same clocks issue (no biggie) but Afterburner has lost my 2nd cards temp and clock monitoring again :(

Quick benchie on Unigine at 1050 core with 8x Anisotropic, normal tess, no AA at 1920x1080, used to be about 172, now is 179.

Had to dl these ones tho as I've preloaded MoH :)

Did you disable ULPS?

No, haven't touched the registry.

I like zero-core so I will keep ULPS on. I did have an issue with no zero-core before the 12.9 drivers but 12.9 fixed zero-core for me. But, alas, 12.9 took away the temp and core monitoring from AB. Could find nothing on the web to help me out.

However, 12.11 beta 3 gave me the full monitoring ability, two cards both being monitored for temps, clocks and usage in AB (visible in my G19 display).

But, 12.11 beta 4 has set it back and it's not monitoring the 2nd cards temps or clocks. But it will monitor it's usage (useful) fans speed and fan tachometer (useless, they're under water!).

Still, I'm more than happy with the BF3 increases. A near constant 100fps+ on Kharg island with maximum fx. Simply awesome.

im going to install the beta on my friends pc that I built, a 7770 roughly equaling a 6850 in BF 3 is a great improvement :D

Yeah, I traded a 6850(with a bad cooler) for a 7770. I don't feel like I downgraded anymore.

No problems with 2D clocks here, must just be with the higher end cards.

I don't have any problems with my 7950's clocks either (using the leaked boost BIOS that has the 925MHz 3D clock) on yesterday's drivers. However, I am sick of my card going to 300/150 in the middle of TF2, so is there anyway I can stop that? I use a 120Hz monitor so it goes down to 300/150 and a laggy 60 FPS all the time for about 20 seconds until I look at the ground and it goes back to 120 FPS. Tribes: Ascend also has this weird "rubber-banding" as well where I will be flying through the air and the speed of the graphics randomly slows down intermittently.

I had to disable ulps again after the driver install, if you haven't found that out yet.. I think that will solve your issue with not seeing clocks in msi afterburner

Regedit, CTRL+F, type in "ulps" and change the two instances of Enable ULPS (in the 0001 and 0002 folders) from a 1 to 0. Restart. :)

Is no one else having the problem with screen flickering (image bouncing up and down with lines) and distortion when trying to apply ANY OC and moving the mouse/scrolling?

Left at stock settings, nothing happens. Literally. 3D clocks will never engage.
Apply OC and crap goes haywire. Start rendering in 3D and the crazy crap stops, 3D clocks engage and all is normal.

This occurs with 12.9-12.11. What a joke. ULPS has exactly zero effect.
Reverting back to 12.8 is an instant fix :| This is a gigabyte 7950 reference PCB (afaik).

You could try using ATiMan Uninstaller. I know the AMD rep on another forum suggested using it before installing the 12.9 beta's. I used version 7.0.2 and it worked great. Also, try installing the latest CAP if you haven't.

Reluctant to try these.
It appears Skyrim gets black triangles, flickering, trees popping up and then disappearing while my character stands in one spot.

If I move a couple of steps away for the area, it stops.
But then a few steps more and I will encounter another area where the same thing happens.

Tested other games with the 12.11 beta only to find Skyrim affected.
Can only assume that AMD had not realized or tested Skyrim at my low res 1440X900.

Are those any good for 5xxx series?? Anyone with those card installed this yet?

Ah, IT problem solving 101.

After re-installing the beta 4's last night I had that Afterburner issue with monitoring.

This morning when i switched on PC, problem gone. If in doubt, reboot.

doh!

LOL. I always reboot after installing drivers...just to be safe.

I wish it were that simple (I tried everything) :banghead: I could format and reinstall and it won't fix it.

Anyone else having problem running Dishonored with those drivers? It keep crashes the game...
