I flashed by windows before and i would like to flash by dos thats all. I see nvidia is getting regular dos updates and amd is forgotten. So is there any chance amd will get dos updater or alternative software soon?

You can use the latest flasher in a command prompt for AMD. You must enter its name correctly and learn all the command switches for it. It works for Polaris and Vega Cards. Just remember files must be renamed in 7.3 format.
So is the card working?

Just run it as amdvbflash.exe and with a /? Or -? Or run in windows

There's no reason to make it difficult on yourself when the program was made to running Windows to begin with to make it easier on you since you do not know how to use the command prompt properly

You will need to find out who the author is then and ask them as I don't think it is authored by us, the link provided above is solid and works.

I don't think it has looking at the Asus site, however to be sure google reviews of your specific card as it should mention the dual bios if it does have one. My 1070 has it's dual bios switch near the power connectors, some others are on the slim topside of the card between the cooler edge and IO slot.

inspect the card, it's usually along the side of the GPU that faces your side/windowed panel, towards the i/o panel or towards the bottom near the pcie connectors. Best to post GPU-Z screenshot (if you can load into windows) and a picture of the white stickers on the backside of the card so people can see your exact card, model and serial number to find you the correct bios for your card.

It looks like mine card from 2017 doesnt have one what a joke of a card rx 470.

Is there a particular reason you require an duel BIOS for your GPU also don't bother with the DOS version of ATI Flash the windows version is much better to use I'd one my card using it and no problems at all

are you sure the card is an 8GB version I can only find the 4GB Strix RX470 on Asus's website

He needs to take pictures of all of the white stickers on the back of the card, sometimes stickers are on heatsink, also he needs to take a picture of the heatsink itself snd post it here.

Also a GPU-Z screenshot will work.

I wonder if the cards is able to power a monitor or if it is bricked.

Also he needs to run cmd prompt with administrative privileges.

Tbf the onlytime it needs to be ran in a cmd prompt is if it is a vega card.

I mean my card is not bricked but u have copied link to guide for flashing and what can i read there ?

"
NEVER flash via Windows

Flashing in windows is a terrible Idea Too many things can go wrong such as interrupts from annoying UAC prompts to updates or spiked CPU load. The options are endless and your chances of success are too slim for this to be worth it. I will explain later how to flash the proper way. It will take you maybe an extra 5min and you should seriously consider doing it. If you decide to not heed this warning and flash via windows anyway and totally scramble your GPUs brains I have a section for that but not sympathy. In Fact I will probably publicly shame you. So just read the guide leave a thanks and not say a thing.
"

So you promote this tutorial for years under all posts that you post here (ATi&AMD GPU BIOS FLASH GUIDE ) and when i ask for help with dos flashing you start your imagination instead of your logic to help. Not recommended only

If we were having a similar discussion 5 years ago I may agree, however after having done possibly 30+ flashes through windows without any issue then today I would completely disagree...……….. there is no topic because there is not currently an upto date AMD pure Dos flashing tool, I do not know anyone who could produce one for you, I think the reason that it has not been developed further is because the Windows version of the tool has become much more stable and reliable, the guides are fairly old, there were Dos versions when they were written therefore at that time it was the preferred route to flashing…… As some have said, you can open the command prompt "cmd" in the search box on taskbar and try from there.

I also note that in your other thread you had flashed a Bios and it worked well...……….. clearly in Windows!

Taking into account your comments above, and the fact that you are not in a position to make demands on anyone else here, I think it is best to close this for now, good luck.
