AMD duron, should i trash it

I got a AMD duron system from a friend and it had a nice full atx case so I took that and now am sitting with the innards, I loaded it up, it had XP on it and its slow as hell, as I expected

Its and AMD duron Morgan,

anyone see any use for this old thing
 
see if u can donate it to computerless (best word i found) people or to public school. if not, see if you have any family that could put use to it. If not, then turn it into some sort of server
 
Bake a egg on it :P
 
Donate it to a skl or homless or elderly :) ask tpu's for a monitor to go with it or something
 
Complete system or just the cpu? If it's just the cpu, sell it on here for like $5-$10 in your next F/S thread

its a morgan core?!!!!! 1.2ghz? i want it give it to me....that is my favorite chip i love morgan cores it was my first CPU got her upto 1.4 befre i blew everything up (no pci lock)

im being serious i want that chip. can you wait till next teus? i will buy that chip from you. it will join my folding fleet.

one of first ever posts when i just started the build your own pc game laugh if you want that thing was my baby. you can also how i didnt have a pci lock lol hard drive got mad currupted.

Durons where the shit back in the day. Sure not my first cpu but it was one of the frist ones i got to oc. The little jumper thingy lol.

Keep it or sell it or donate it either way the trash is no way out for it!

ha i dont post my old threads i would loose respect. If i may say so iv come a long long way.

that was back when having PC parts ment something...thats the kind of stuff that made you an extremest...not today though its all LN2 and how many 295's can i have its way too easy now adays. no back then it was harder and making something work actually made you felt good you didnt just go out and buy a new part. i remember that rig to this day

(yes i really do remember everything i own)

that was back in the day were you worked and worked for your performance my XP install was slimmed down insanely
i used a 4GB pagefile
i clocked that CPU to 1.4Ghz
the 9250 to 250/250mhz (syncing was the balls back then)

and man was i proud of her it played

Farcry
Doom

all insanely well at the highest settings it wouldnt have but i worked my ass off to get them to run
 
Pfft, I have a P2 300. You know how hard it is for a guy like me spoiled on the ease of today's hardware to travel back in time and make shit work?? :p

haha that morgan wasnt my first chip but it was my first build...like that was my first serious system i had installed ram etc b4 then but that was my main rig my baby it sat by my desk not downstairs with the "family" pc

and if you trash that or do something dumb with it ill be wicked pissed it goes to someone on TPU or it goes 2 me...these are your only options.
