Now that the new AMD graphics cards for this season have been announced. What do you think so far?

Yes we know some people might want to select all answers, pick the one that's most relevant to you.

Well I think I really really want to see your review Wizzard ;) and would love to get a R9 290X if the price is right:rockout:

I wonder if an i7 970 would bottlenecking these video cards, I'm at 3.4ghz for now but I guess at 4ghz it should be alright:confused: Anyone:twitch:

I'll definitely get one ... just to mess with Mantle :D

i believe this stuff is interesting but so far AMD doesnt impress me about its driver

AMD: R9 290X Will Be "Much Faster Than Titan in Battlefield 4"

While no pricing has been announced for AMD's high-end GPU just yet, It is worth mentioning that Nekechuck did confirm to us that the company does not plan to release single-GPU cards in the $1,000 price range because AMD thinks that is such a small, niche market. When you consider that the GeForce Titan runs for one grand, it’s safe to assume that it will be a fair bit cheaper than $1K. Rumors abound the event are that the R9 290X will retail at around the 780 price point, which currently hovers around $650. May we see Titan+ performance for less than 780 price from AMD? Only time will tell.

Pricing and specs. If it can beat a Titan or trade blows equally within games, say within 1-3% of each other, AND it is priced to within the 780's range, then I'd probably get one.

audio + mantle = yes plz

i hope some DAW/VST makers end up using the audio stuff to offload the cpu... same goes for cg rendering with mantle (or just let's have more opencl renderers)

You forgot to put "I'll use whatever brand Wiz uses." :D

should be an option for none of the above :p im waiting till Xmas or black Friday and am going to grab another 7870 2GB for Crossfire action as 7000 cards should get a bit of a price drop when the new cards release :D

It depends on performance when OCed under water. Hopefully it's an acceptable OCer.

well it all depends.. budget, performance....

I'll definitely see how it goes against nvidia's cards and the card I'm currently using. I'll buy it if it's within my budget.

Absolutely useless poll without any reviews out.

I need to know the price and were it sits with its competition. If it is not what I expected, then another GTX 670 for me

Absolutely useless poll without any reviews out.

not really.. slightly though.. but dont you think AMD is also watching these? haha

I've been a devout green fiend for over a decade but I am so tempted with the r290x given the titbits of info I've seen so far.

i'm get one as soon as you done review it :D

There should be an check box for waiting for 20nm shrink, that's what I'm truly waiting for the true next level GPUs, currently contented till the shrink.

There should be an option for, 'No', and/or 'My old HD7970 still works just fine'.

I would pick one of those two.

I got a 7970 ghz edition, when I looked at the post of Crossfiring them most people say its not worth it. When I saw the reviews for the R9 280 and see (imo) such a tiny difference between them, I say lets sit this one out. Seriously global PC sales in decline and these companies are not doing their BEST to create their ABSOLUTE BEST, then we have a problem.

So my Vote is as CBRworm said, My HD 7970 still kicks ass, and taking names!

Already with the green team. Just waiting to see how the 290x and 290 are in hopes of Nvidia 780 price drops for another in SLI.

I voted green camp but that doesn't mean I don't think the new R9 290(X) is interesting.
