Hi all,

Here I have one problem with my GPU model Sapphire RX580.

the problem is that it sometimes blue screen after running a while.
and when restart the PC, the device manager shown error 43 that "windows has stop the device......"

and I opened GPU-Z, it show the GPU basic information, but the clock and memory shown as 0 for both.

the very strange thing is that a few days later, I turn on the PC with this GPU and it works fine, but not long.
about few hours, it went throungh the same problem again!
Sometimes it is even not able to restart.

I have tried to flash the BIOS with the original BIOS download from TechPowerUP.
and also tried to update the driver by latest version.
but all failed with same problem.

I am really need some help from here to see if can solve this problem.
Thanks in advance!

I have downloaded all Nitro+ RX580 BIOS from database, but it seems the P/N of each BIOS is different.
will it affect the dual BIOS?
current GPU Dual BIOS, left side silent mode is 113-1E366CU-S52 (1340Mhz), while the right side is 113-1E3660U-O51 (1411Mhz)

So the issue of this GPU is after running for some times, it just stopped and PC is hang and not functioning.
have to hard restart PC.

@eidairaman1 could you please give some guidance and advice? thanks in advance!

Give me time. Im eating supper

I need complete system specs of your system

You need to pull the heatsink, clean gpu die, get a pic of a ram chip and put fresh thrrmal paste on the card. Im verifying what ram is on your card

Yeah GPUs usually comes with the grey type that is more sticky, this looks almost like toothpaste :respect:
I hope who ever repasted the gpu didn't actually just use toothpaste on it.

PSW: seasonic SS-520GB 450Watts

Thanks
I will start looking

I would suggest cleaning the gpu die and heatsink, remove thermal paste and get some good paste from Arctic, Arctic Silver, Coolermaster, Gelid, Thermal Grizzly.

Do not flash anything yet.

That looked like an entire tube of moisturiser, definitely clean that off with isopropyl alcohol and use a grain of rice sized blob of actual thermal paste

Yes, below is screenshot of the GPU-Z with 0 clock Mhz and 0 Memory Mhz.
First you need to watch this to prevent ms from installing drivers.

If you have any overclocking utilities outside of the adrenaline driver, reset them to stock and remove them.
Then Get Display Driver Uninstaller.

Run the Adrenaline Driver uninstall program, then run DDU. Once done, shut down totally, remove the gpu, clean contact pins and blow out dust from pcie slots.

Then reinsert gpu into slot firm and squared, make sure the board is not putting tension on the slot.

I will research bios
