AMD CEO Lisa Su announced the company's latest super high-end graphics card, the Radeon R9 Fury X. The company claims this graphics card will be your gateway to 5K (that's four times 1440p) gaming. The card leverages AMD's new "Fiji" silicon, featuring stacked HBM (high-bandwidth memory), which offers significant performance and performance-per-Watt improvements over the previous generation. The company also announced the Radeon R9 Fury, the company's second-best card based on "Fiji," and the R9 Nano, the third-best product. The R9 Nano is about the size of an ASUS DirectCU Mini, is air-cooled, with performance significantly higher than the R9 290X, and half its power draw.

The Radeon R9 Fury X could be priced around the $650 mark, and will be available in mid-July. The Radeon R9 Fury, on the other hand, could be priced around the $550 mark, and come out a little sooner. The R9 Nano is the dark horse here, and could be AMD's most important product among the three, since it could go head on against the GeForce GTX 970 in both pricing and performance. Its biggest feature over the GTX 970 is 4096 MB of usable memory at half-a-terabyte per second speeds. The R9 Fury could seat itself in an interesting price-performance position between the GTX 980 and GTX 980 Ti; while the R9 Fury X could go head on against the GTX 980 Ti, and GTX Titan X. There's a dual-GPU product based on the "Fiji" silicon, which AMD is trying to launch very soon. There's nothing from NVIDIA's current product lineup that can match that.

Until we see reviews of performance and power, this presentation sounds like smoke.
In addition, 5k in just 4GB ?? unless that reduce the quality, it is hard to believe.

$649 for Fury X. Available June 26th

$549 for Fury. Available July 16th?

i was sure i heard the 24th lol.

That Nano sound interesting.

Following the event live,
They literally mentioned Fury nano having 2x perf/Watt of a 290x.

Would be quite the achievement.

Prices look good for competing with Nvidia. When we see reviews we will know for sure.

Another month, nice...

That can be miss leading.

For example: it can have the exact same performance of 290X @ half 290X's watts.

We'll see when the reviews hit the web.

wouldn't make it untrue, however they also said it performed "significantly better than a 290x"

We'll see what "significantly better then 290x" really means when reviews hit the web.

5% should make it atleast statistically significantly better :p

Would be impressive either way if the 2x is correct, would mean 290x performance at 125-150Watt,... which is better than what Nvidia achieved with maxwell.

I believe i remember them saying one took 275w so i don't believe the power usage is going down all that much but the performance should be up for sure if that's the case.

That would be perfect for me if the price was right. I game on 1080 right now. If they can give me 290X power or a touch more for less than 200 watts, I am in. An 8GB 390/X is useless because it can't drive anything that would need it.

The NANO sounds like the sweet spot for me. If it is all that good, then I'll take a pair of them, please.

(to begin with)

Sooo ... that R9 Nano has only one fan ... 2x perf/watt compared to 200 series and Fury X is 1.5x perf/watt ... Probably R9 Nano is half of their dual Fiji card.

If i heard right, they said it would be their 3rd performer (single cards), so it should give more performance then 390X but less then fury.

Did anyone manage to catch a glimpse of the nano's power connectors?

Nice lineup!! This is coming from a Nvidia supporter. The CEO made it seem like the Fury x is lightspeeds faster than anything on the planet lol.

When will we see reviews of these?
Amd Radeon R9 Fury X
Amd Radeon R9 Fury
Amd Radeon R9 Nano
Amd Radeon R9 390X
Amd Radeon R9 390
Please tell specific dates if possible.
Thanks

i max my games out at 1080 with 724\1250 with a -30mw and cuts the power usage down a load.

Can someone clarify release dates? I definitely heard 24th mentioned, but theres 3 different dates showing on different sites :s
