Was wondering here what kind of AMD X2 soket AM2 processor comes with a heatpipe heatsink and a 80mm cooling fan? It seem that some come with normal heatsink with no heatpipe and some come with heatpipe heatsink but 70mm cooling fan. I prefer the one with heatpipe heasink and 80mm cooling fan was wondering which AMD X2 soket AM2 processor comes with one of those. And is there anyway to know it from the box?

just buy a freezer64pro its better then any of the stock coolers.

and i think its 4400 or 4600 and up, i know 4200's i have seen are non pipes lately.

if you want a great deal try froogleing for the x2 3600+ and grab a freezer64pro, overclocking potentiol is crazy good and the coolers a great price :)

no AMD stock HSF uses a 80mm fan, only 70mm. However I think the copper heatpipe HSFs can take 80mm fans. As to what heatsinks use the heatpipes, that would be the FX60\62, the upper X2 CPUs come with heatpipe HSFs, but their cut down versions using less heatpipes.

Its also worth noting if u get a FX60\62 HSF, its easily as good as the freezer 64, perhaps better, and likely almost as good as a Zalman CNPS9500. To get that kind of quality tho the HSF does need a few minor modifications made.

some of the x2's come with the good heat pipe some dont, depends on the version and what they had in stock when packing them, i have seen a 3800+ that came with tht 4 copper heatpipe cooler(yes it had 80mm fan) and i have seen them come with the normal cheap heatsink that comes with singel cores.
