Trying to make it so when I use my xbox controller on my rog ally that it becomes player 1 instead of the default asus controller
(the only way I can do this now is to turn off the embedded controller and restart and then turn on the xbox controller and then launch the xbox app, pita)
I found (this article) But the registry key for gameinput isn't there in windows 11
Anyone know of a way to do this in windows 11?
Xbox Accessories app doesn't recognize the built in 360 controller so I can't do it from there
EDIT: found possible solution through this vid (link) In settings/ bluetooth devices/ view more devices/ more devices and printer settings/ Right click xbox controller and go to Game controller settings/ Advanced/
There it lets you pick which is prioritized, still doesn't fix issue
Tried connecting via the xbox dongle, issue still persists
Tried DS4 windows, unable to change ps4 controller from xinput #2 to #1 (controller still works to control xbox app, just stops working as soon as game launches, still able to call up gamebar with xbox button in game)
If I plug it in to the usb on the rog ally IT WORKS IN GAME, this is NOT the solution I'm looking for...
I'm stuck, anyone have any suggestions?
