Prices don't impress me but the power efficiency and the fact it's all playable is crazy.

Even Intel's iGPU is faster than a 7970 by a good amount.

For a comparison the 880G chipset with 4250 Radeon graphics was no where close to even low end.

So weird to test CP77 with RT and XeSS at 720p. Just enable realistic settings, come on.

But indeed, iGPUs are serious business today. Yet the price... It's nuts.

It is, and I'd be nice if graphics cards were just as impressive.

Incoming: Someone explains that it shoud be faster/cheaper, all while using sophisticated words like milking and greed.

It bodes well for Laptop/Handheld gaming and I am all for it. Still mega pricey today but I hope in 3-5 years time we have some serious options in the 5-700 dollar options for laptops etc that have enough to do gaming well without the need for a dGPU

I just want it to be more reasonable. Like, not many people need a 16-core monster and 500 GB of RAM for actual gaming, why not making a much simpler system and maybe increasing the iGPU clocks for it to be more balanced for AAA gaming? But no, we only get fast graphics if we buy the most expensive CPU alongside it.
Not everyone plays competitive games at "cyber-athlete" settings.

It's NOT made for games, primarily.

It's a bit like complaining about workstation laptops in general being too expensive for what you get, for gaming.
Even regular gaming laptops are expensive and starts at €2000 if you want more than 8 GB VRAM, not really a great deal either.

Besides, it's not the extra chiplet that makes it expensive, I'm pretty sure of that. The 395 is their fastest model, no wonder it's the most expensive.

To be clear, I think they are expensive, but I'm fine with it because I expected that.

That's not what 128 GB of total <TOTAL> RAM is for, not sure where you're getting that from.

Framework will have the slower models. Starts at €1279, not insane, not the fastest.

yep, I got my 7840u APU OLED work laptop I think 18 months ago or so... it's been crazy good. even at 2880x1800 resolution it can handle so many indie games and still look amazing. i can't really do anything too graphically intensive, as i hate windowed mode and i hate the blurriness of non-native resolutions. but still i am impressed by what it can do

Actually yeah, I coped a 2nd gen MSI claw and I’m honestly surprised at what iGPUs can do now. It’s pretty impressive.

The raw processing grunt and efficiency offered by the Radeon 780M really impresses me. Just behind a GTX 1650 with a fifth of its TDP, and access to a lot more VRAM.
Yeah, I'm pretty darn impressed with how far iGPUs have come in recent years.

I know but is wanting a thing that doesn't yet exist any wrong..? Anyway, I'll prolly build a Frankenstein using low- and mid-tier desktop parts instead of waiting on a tiny PC with a fast iGPU that doesn't cost like a limo.
