Anyone use the ATI 9.11 Beta drivers yet? If so any performance increase? Also even though it's beta what do you think of the stability? I thinking of downloading them but want to here from others if it's worth it or just wait for them to really release from ATI.
If your interested in Downloading them yourself you can find them here....

Well, I tryied them, but because of my mistake misunderstanding of VRM chips (for some reason it kept raising my voltage to 1.648v on vGPU). dropped them however since it was the same on 9.10 it wasn't the drivers. Just monitoring the voltages 24/7 was too much for the chip I guess.

There's absolutely nothing coded yet on this technology so kinda defeats the point of using as there's no performance gain. Would sure be nice to even see Havok or some real physics engine to use OpenCL in action on my screen or perhaps some video encoders / decoders actually utilizing GPU alone to process, but there is none. This technology is like NVIDIA century ago drivers are not on ATI as they used to be on 90s well supported and very well adjustable more like maybe there's support on software side to what we build style in next X month ahead.

I'm using 9.11 beta's and there was some performance gain after switching from 9.9 (noticeable only in synthetic benchmarks though).
They are stable but IMO you can stick with current drivers and wait for final 9.11.

I'm using 9.10 right now and I'm noticing some performance issue's . I'm pretty sure it's a driver issue.
An example .... I will be playing Far Cry 2 and for the most part my FPS will be 60 or above(if I didn't have V-sync on) But for a split second or two I will get a drop to 30 FPS. It's really anoying I mean yeah this card is better than my old GTX 285 FTW but it my GTX 285 ftw didn't drop Frames that bad when it did. Maybe because it's a Nvidia coded game and now I have a lack of Physx?

So you said you have used them and there was a problem?...... Also I do agree that I wish ATI would get on top of their drivers and start implementing some of these features!

No I said I was too damn stupid to understand that issue I was having with voltages was my mistake.

Drivers worked as usual didn't get any disorder nor corruptions, but the entire point of v9.11 drivers is OpenCL support & ATI Stream not an gaming improvements. I never exactly got to the point on testing did they actually work where they were meant to be working as in building C code utilizing GPU/CPU simultanously improving processing speed on applications more specifically graphical kernels.

Older drivers do But I read some were that the new drivers for win 7 will not anymore. Or they won't be updated anymore or something like that. I had an HIS X1650 and that was my favorite card ever. So If I were you I'd still hang on to it just for memories LOL
